Baby, baby, baby

I've figured out that I'm not so good at this whole blogging thing...but I'll keep trying.

My world began to really change about five months ago when I found out I was pregnant. This will be our first child and thankfully it's a GIRL! I do not know what I would do if we were having a boy- I grew up with sisters and I do not know much about the world of young boys. However poor husband is a little bewildered with all of the pink and ruffles that is coming into our lives. I am 27 weeks pregnant now with little Emma Rose set to arrive August 12th. Yes- that means I will be enduring the last months of my pregnancy in the Florida summer heat.

We have been blessed with such a wonderful community of people that support us and are excited about the arrival of this little bundle. We have already had 2 surprise baby showers! The first was thrown by the staff at husbands work.

Surprise!

Super cute, super yummy cupcakes!

The next shower was thrown by the volunteers and kids at the Gretna After School. This was so much fun! The kids all signed a sweet card, they wrapped presents and we ate yummy cupcakes.

They blindfolded me and led me to the party!

The kids had a lot of fun

This little baby is going to have a lot of people who love her! My baby shower's have been super fun and sweet, we are so blessed!

My body has not been so happy about the little one growing in my belly, I am so tired, my feet hurt, I have shin splints, heartburn, and more! Besides being uncomfortable the doctor says we are both healthy and right on track. So despite all the aches, pains and shortness of breath we have a lot to be thankful for!

I will try to be better about updating and sharing what is going on in this hodgepodge world I live in!
